Christy, Yachi Chiang

After graduated from National Taiwan University, Dr. Christy, Yachi Chiang earned her LL.M. in CyberLaw from Leeds University (UK), and obtained her Ph.D from the Durham University (UK). Before launching her academic career, Dr. Chang had worked in Taiwan Legislative Yuan, law firms and NGOs, which provided her subsequent academic pursuance with solid practical experiences from both the public and private sectors.

Dr. Chiang joined the Graduate Institute of Intellectual Property of National Taipei University of Technology since 2013. She is now an associate professor and the director of patent licensing and technology transfer Center at NTUT. Her current research interests include the following: IP Laws and Policies, Internet Laws and Policies, Regulations of Media and Cultural Industries, Industry and Academia Cooperation, Technology Transfer. 

 Dr. Chiang has published widely on the above research areas in both Chinese and English. Based on her knowledge and expertise, she has been serving as a consultant on legal issues and public policies for various government departments (such as Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Economic Affairs) since 2015. She also regularly transfers her knowledge to the public by being a syndicated columnist, taking media interviews, and acting as a consultant of legal issues and public policies for a wide range of private businesses thrived on emerging technologies or innovative applications (ex: smart-transportation, e-commerce, online games, telecom services, online content platforms and etc.)
