The goal of this thesis is to research into the issue of trademark infringement on digital platforms and analysis from legal and economic perspectives. Digital platforms have become the primary areas for business activities and consumer interactions; furthermore, trademark infringement issues have become more complex and widespread in this digital environment.

The research methodology includes case studies and law and economic analysis. This thesis initially reviewed relevant literature and cases to understand the background and impact of trademark infringement. Subsequently, this paper selected several cases from Taiwan and the United States for an in-depth examination of the actual situations of trademark infringement on digital platforms. These cases encompass the legal responses of brand owners to infringement actions and the policies and enforcement measures of platform operators.

Furthermore, we conducted an economic and legal exploration and analysis to understand the impact of trademark infringement on the economic benefits and liability of digital platforms, consumers, trademark rights holders, and the legal system.

The purpose of this thesis is to provide guidance from both law and economic perspectives for digital platforms, trademark rights holders, consumers, and legal professionals on how to address trademark infringement issues on digital platforms and maximize economic benefits.
